Hamran: Extremism first stage of terrorism, attacks children and youth

Extremism is the first stage of terrorism, and as such it attacks children and youth, mainly on social media, said commander of the Police Corps' anti-terror unit Stefan Hamran, who's running for the post of national police chief, at his hearing before the parliamentary defence and security committee on Monday. Hamran emphasised that he'd create a special anti-extremism department within the police if he becomes their chief. "If there's anything causing trouble, specialisation is needed," he said.
