Gripen fighters flew over the square in Chomutov at the beginning of the funeral of Martin Marcin, one of the three Czech soldiers who died in a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan earlier this month. A crowd of about 300 gathered before the Saint Ignatius of Loyla Church at the namesti 1. maje square on Tuesday. The ceremony was also attended by chief of staff Ales Opata. Marcin and the other two soldiers killed in the attack will be buried with military honours.
