Greenpeace Slovakia calls for live Christmas trees

Greenpeace recommends celebrating Christmas with a live Christmas tree planted in a pot that can be used again in the future, Greenpeace Slovakia climate campaign coordinator Radek Kubala told TASR. To those who are interested in buying a live tree, Kubala recommended choosing one with a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate. "The advantage of plastic trees is that they can be re-used in the future. If someone wants to have a plastic tree, they should ideally use [that tree] forever," stated Kubala.
