Govt: Slovakia, France to develop close cooperation over next four years

Over the next four years Slovakia and France want to cooperate in various fields, such as energy and tourism, according to the action plan on the Slovak-French strategic partnership for 2018-2022 approved by the cabinet at its regular session on Wednesday. "The two countries agree on positions in several fields decisive for the future of the European Union, such as its social dimension, the euro's strengthening, external activities of the EU, as well as European defence," the document reads. Therefore, the two countries want to develop political cooperation and "contribute towards deepening cooperation within the EU".
