Govt: Poland's jobless rate down to 6.6 pc in Oct

Poland's Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy on Wednesday said that the country's unemployment rate came to 6.6 percent in October, 0.2 percentage points lower than in the month before. The figure is based on the number of registered employees at the end of September. In the corresponding period of last year (between September and October 2016), unemployment fell by 0.1 percentage points from 8.3 to 8.2 percent. This means that this October, the jobless rate was 1.6 percentage points lower than in the same month last year.
