The government has earmarked 35 billion forints (EUR 106m) for supporting a complex education and school infrastructure development programme in Debrecen, in eastern Hungary, according to the decree published in the official gazette Magyar Kozlony on Friday. The programme aims to help provide well-trained workforce to meet investors' labour needs in the region, the innovation and technology ministry said in a statement. It includes setting up an automotive laboratory and a technical faculty wing at the Debrecen University, and launching technician training in local vocational education next September.
