October 30 of this year should be declared a public holiday on which Slovakia will mark the 100th anniversary of adopting the Declaration of the Slovak Nation (also known as the Martin Declaration), according to a proposal submitted by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) and approved by Government ministers at the Cabinet session on Wednesday. The prime minister will now submit the proposal to Parliament, where it will be presented by Culture Minister Lubica Lassakova (Smer-SD).
