German chancellor talked to Polish PM about Von der Leyen's candidacy

Chancellor Angela Merkel revealed on Friday she had spoken with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki before the vote on the choice of Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission; she also denied there was any German domination in Europe. Merkel told a press conference in Berlin that there had also been contacts at party level on the matter.
