Four allies sign coalition pact in Brno, oust election winner ANO

Representatives of the Civic Democrats (ODS), the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL), the Pirates and the Social Democrats (CSSD) signed an agreement on a ruling coalition in the Moravian capital Brno today, ousting the election-winning ANO into opposition. The new coalition has 33 seats in the 55-seat City Assembly. The post of mayor will go to Marketa Vankova, a lawyer who led the ODS in Brno in the October 5-6 local elections. She will replace Petr Vokral (ANO).
