Former Slovak Supreme Court vice-chair interrogated by police

April 28th, 2020

Former Supreme Court Vice-chair Jarmila U., who faces charges of bribery, was questioned by investigators of the National Criminal Agency (NAKA) on Tuesday, TASR has learned. The interrogation lasted almost 40 minutes, after which the ex-judge left the building in the company of her lawyer Peter Filip. She refused to provide any comments to the media. Also questioned was ex-chair of Bratislava Regional Court Lubos S. He offered no comments, either, and avoided journalists on his way out. After a police crackdown called Operation Storm in March, 13 judges were charged with bribery and corruption.
