Former Slovak chief prosecutor charged with hiding Gorilla footage

December 18th, 2019

Slovak anti-crime agency NAKA has pressed charges against former prosecutor-general Dobroslav Trnka for misusing his powers as a public official. According to the Slovak police, Trnka had obtained an audio recording from the Slovak Intelligence Service's (SIS) operation code-named Gorilla, which led to suspicions that several crimes had been committed. Trnka is believed to have hidden the footage, failing to hand it over to law-enforcement authorities.
