Former head of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), Marek Ch., has been arrested for two months after a relevant ruling by a court in Katowice, south Poland, the defendant's lawyer told PAP on Thursday. The prosecutors motioned for Marek Ch.'s arrest on grounds of possible obstruction of justice and a severe penalty involved in the alleged crime, a prison sentence of up to 10 years. Marek Ch.'s lawyers said they would file an appeal.
