Former Czech policeman detained on suspicion of old murder

The Czech General Inspection of Security Corps (GIBS) on Friday detained a former police officer and another man suspected of a brutal murder committed almost ten years ago, GIBS spokesman Ivo Mitacek has told reporters. The other man has criminal past, according to CTK sources. They are suspected of having murdered a 27-year-old man in an extremely brutal way in the vicinity of Cheb, west Bohemia, on November 23, 2008.
