Robert Slachta, the former chief of the police organised crime unit (UOOZ) and of the General Customs Directorate search section, is under investigation on suspicion of leaking classified information in a book he co-wrote with journalist Josef Klima, the website of the Czech Judiciary has reported. The website refers to information from Interior Minister Jan Hamacek in his response to a written question by opposition Civic Democrat MP Pavel Zacek. "The Police of the Czech Republic are investigating whether the steps by the main protagonist of the book was not at variance with law," the website cites Hamacek as saying.
