Finance ministry expects 4.3 pc GDP growth in 2018

August 15th, 2018

The finance ministry has calculated that GDP growth could reach 4.3 percent for the full year, Agnes Hornung, the ministry's state secretary, said on public television news channel M1 on Wednesday. Hungary's second-quarter GDP rose by an annual 4.6 percent, faster than expected, she said. The state secretary attributed the Q2 growth figure to growing service output and household consumption that was backed up by the good performance of agriculture and industry.
