Fico slams govt manifesto

Opposition party Smer-SD will not support the Government Manifesto in parliament, considering it an "unprofessional" document without appropriate financial backing, said Smer chief and former prime minister Robert Fico on Wednesday. Fico said that the Government Manifesto would require 25 billion euros, while the government's income will reach only 17 billion euros this year. At the same time he rejected as "rubbish" the government's complaints that Smer, which quit a month ago, left behind an "empty larder".
