Face masks won't be mandatory in Czech schools, shops

August 20th, 2020

Face masks will not be mandatory at schools as of September 1 unless the epidemiological situation worsens and they will not be required in shops or other services for clients, such as hairdressers, either, in the Czech Republic, Health Minister Adam Vojtech told reporters on Thursday. Face masks would be made compulsory again if the situation with the coronavirus epidemic worsens. The epidemiological situation in the country will be reassessed again at the end of September, said Vojtech only a day after he presented the new tightened measures for wearing face masks.
