The European Court of Justice on Tuesday dismissed the Czech Republic's lawsuit against the EU directive restricting arms possession, and said that the directive is neither discriminatory nor does it violate the EU principles as the lawsuit had claimed. The directive bans certain types of semiautomatic firearms and magazines. The Czech Republic protested against the 2017 directive saying that it violated the rights of legal arms owners and demanded that the EU scrap it. The lawsuit was supported by Poland and Hungary.
