The European Commission needs some time to assess Poland's reform of its judicial system, Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said on Monday. The minister was referring to European Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans, who said that at this stage, there is no prospect of withdrawing Article 7, launched in connection with concerns about the rule of law in Poland. "I think the Commission needs some time to assess the reforms to see whether they are working. We are ready to present further explanations on the matter," the Polish FM said.
