Polish President Andrzej Duda on Monday signed a bill which brings into force the earlier-announced Employee Capital Plan (PPK), a voluntary private pension savings programme, co-sponsored by employees, employers and the state. "This is a law that, I hope, will have two major results," the president said after signing the bill at a ceremony held at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Firstly, that "it will improve the situation of future Polish pensioners, those who are still working ... and saving money for their pensions." Secondly, that it will "improve the situation of those who operate in the Polish economy market."
