Drug smuggler attempts to evade Czech customs officers on roller skates

Customs officers have caught a man, 37, who tried to escape from them on roller skates when he was smuggling medicines containing pseudoephedrine for the production of pervitin hard drug (methamphetamine) from Poland, regional customs authority spokeswoman Jitka Fajstavrova told journalists on Monday. The customs officers also found injections and substances which may have been hashish and pervitin with him, Fajstavrova said. The customs officers noticed the man roller skating with a full backpack on a road near the border in the evening. "The customs officers seized the precursors for the production of narcotics and injections hidden in the backpack," Fajstavrova said. She said the customs officers had passed the suspicious substances to a laboratory for analysis.
