Deutsch calls for common EU digitalisation policy

Tamas Deutsch, Hungary's ministerial commissioner for digitalisation, has called for a common European digitalisation policy after 2020. Deutsch told a conference organised by economic think-tank Szazadveg Gazdasagkutato on Thursday that Hungary must be a leading player on the issue. Hungary has a fundamental interest, together with its partners, in calling for digitisation to be the third common EU policy in the post 2020 budget period. In this way, member states would use common EU resources for digitisation developments, he said.
