The Olomouc museum is creating copies of the death masks of the independent Czechoslovakia's founding fathers, Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, Edvard Benes and Milan Rastislav Stefanik, a set of which will be given to Israel, the museum told reporters today. This is the first time a copy of Stefanik's mask is to be made. One of the sets of the death masks copies is to be presented as a gift to the people of Israel during an official state visit to Israel in November, said representatives of the Museum of National History in Olomouc today. All three death masks are currently displayed in the museum's exhibition devoted to the Czechoslovak Legions, the voluntary units that contributed to the establishment of the independent Czechoslovakia in 1918.
