Danko won't run for SNS chair, will ask for membership suspension

Andrej Danko announced to the presidium of the now extra-parliamentary Slovak National Party (SNS) that he will not run for re-election as party chairman at the party congress slated for September 12. At the same time, Danko will ask the presidium to suspend his party membership. He told TASR that his decision to step away from political activities was related to his health and further professional life. "I realise that I can't force anything in politics," Danko said. "People gave us a report card, and we must accept it. I'll ask for suspension at the congress."
