House Speaker Andrej Danko and Eduard Sharmazanov, deputy speaker of the Armenian national assembly, on Friday opened an exhibition on the 1915 Armenian genocide in the Slovak parliament. "The genocide of Armenian, Greek and Assyrian minorities in the Ottoman Empire was one of the biggest catastrophes of the 20th century that took the lives of two million innocent Christians," said Sharmazanov. It has to be remembered, he said, adding that innocent Christians and Yazidis are still being killed because of their ethnic background and religion.
