Danko rejects criticism for poll moratorium amendment

Andrej Danko, chairman of the Slovak parliament and head of the Slovak National Party, on Monday rejected ownership of an amendment on raising the moratorium on publishing polls ahead of national elections. The amendment submitted on Dec 18, which would raise the ban on publishing polling data ahead of elections from 14 days to 50, was originally Smer-SD head Robert Fico's proposal, while Danko himself focused on minimum pensions and other matters, he said in an interview with TASR.
