D4R7 Construction says it will provide compensation for destroyed biotopes

D4R7 Construction on Monday told TASR that it wants to complete measures aimed at providing compensation for biotopes destroyed during the building of the D4/R7 motorway bypass around Bratislava. The main constructor of the bypass was reacting to a statement by SOS/BirdLife Slovensko, which earlier pointed to insufficient compensation. According to SOS/BirdLife Slovensko, the first D4 stretch was recently opened at odds with relevant laws and regulations on nature protection. The NGO wants to file a complaint with the European Commission in the matter.
