Czechs say mainly bribes, lobbyists influence politicians

May 18th, 2018

Czech people believe that bribes, lobbyists and media influence politicians most of all, while churches, NGOs and citizens influence them the least of all, according to a CVVM public opinion poll released today. Twenty-six percent of those polled spoke of a prevailing influence of bribes and corruption on political decision making. According to 20 percent, lobbyists and groups of interest exert the main influence on politicians, and 14 percent ascribed the role to media.
