The Czech Republic has lifted the extraordinary inspection measures related to Polish beef that it introduced on February 21 after detection of salmonella-affected meat, the European Commission's spokesperson Anca Paduraru confirmed on Wednesday. On Monday, Poland gave assurances to the Czech Republic and European Commission (EC), the EU's executive arm, that it had done everything to stop non-standard meat from reaching the market.
