Czech soldiers to guard Kvetna ammo dump until end of 2018

June 13th, 2018

The cabinet decided today that Czech soldiers would guard the ammunition dump in Kvetna, east Bohemia, until the end of the year, the government's press section has announced. The cabinet extended the guarding of the ammunition dump by the military which was originally to leave the premises at the end of this month. Ammunition was moved to Kvetna from the depot in Vrbetice, south Moravia, after two storehouses exploded there in 2014. Apart from 21 military police officers, 86 professional soldiers will take part in the guarding of the ammunition dump.
