Czech Senate passes bill to simplify transplant of foreigners' organs

March 20th, 2019

The process of removing organs from the bodies of foreigners who die in the Czech Republic will only require a family member's consent in future under an amendment to the transplant law adopted by the Senate, the upper house of Czech parliament, on Wednesday. The Chamber of Deputies, the lower house, approved the bill in an accelerated procedure in the first reading in January.
