The Czech Republic registered 8,032 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, almost 50 percent fewer than the previous Thursday, and the tests positivity rate fell to 28.3 percent, with the overall coronavirus death toll since the epidemic outburst exceeding 14,000, the Health Ministry's data show. The last 1,000 deaths were reported in the past six days, compared with a thousand deaths in ten days at the beginning of December. The daily death toll has mostly reached 150-180 since the beginning of January. In the first half of December, it was markedly lower, about 100 deaths a day.
