Czech Republic logs smallest daily Covid case rise since mid-Sept

Laboratories confirmed only 976 new coronavirus cases in the Czech Republic on Sunday, the lowest number since September 13, 2020, while the daily rise was last under 1,000 on September 20, according to the data released by the health ministry. A week ago, during Easter, twice as many new coronavirus case were reported. The weekend figures are usually lower than on weekdays due to a lower number of tests for Covid-19. The number of patients hospitalised with Covid-19 dropped to 5,070, the lowest number since late December. Of them, 1,157 are in a serious condition, the lowest figure in almost two months, the ministry said.
