Czech Rep to commemorate 1968 Soviet invasion

The National Gallery (NG) in Prague will mark the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia by displaying the Invasion 68 cycle of photographer Josef Koudelka, which will be one in a series of events, the organisers said. The exhibition will open in the NG premises in the Veletrzni Palace on August 21, the day of the 1968 Soviet-led invasion that crushed the Prague Spring communist-led reform movement in Czechoslovakia.
