Czech police neutralise man with bomb barricaded in his flat

The Czech police have neutralised a man who barricaded himself in his flat in Ostrava on Wednesday morning, having a bomb and a gun that he aimed at the officers during their intervention, regional police spokesman Tomas Kuzel told CTK. Threatened by the man's gun, the police shot him in his leg. About 50 people were evacuated from the surrounding houses before the intervention. The information that the man is a former police officer has not been confirmed for now.
