Detectives have detained the man who made two bomb threats in a shopping mall in the Prague Smichov neighbourhood at the beginning of the week, the police said on Thursday. If convicted, the man faces up to 12 years in prison for blackmail. According to the recording of his phone call which police have posted on Twitter, the man demanded 10 million crowns. On Monday, the shopping mall was closed for six hours and on Tuesday, the police were looking for the bomb while its operation continued. No explosive was found. The man claimed he had planted a five-kilogramme explosive in the shopping mall. Trained sniffer dogs and a bomb disposal expert were called in. For security reasons, the local traffic was sealed off.
