The Czech Ombudsman's Office received 7,926 motions last year, which mostly concerned social security, construction and regional development. It found 490 faults and informed the public or a superior office on 19 cases, in which the given office denied any fault, Ombudsman Stanislav Krecek said on Wednesday. He said other motions concerned the military, police or prisons and some motions were influenced by the Covid-19 pandemic.
