Czech minister wants to cut civil service staff by 10 percent

February 1st, 2019

The number of civil servants should be cut by 10 percent, but this should not cover the armed forces, teachers and non-educational school staff, Czech Finance Minister Alena Schillerova (ANO) said after a meeting of the coalition council on Friday. The planned budget deficit of 40 billion crowns for next year is a figure that cannot be exceeded, she added.
