Czech lower house postpones debate on suspicions in toll tender case

March 15th, 2019

The Czech Chamber of Deputies will continue to deal with the suspicions in the toll tender case and also debate the climate change amid today's Fridays for Future student demonstrations in late March, the lower house decided today. The debate on the toll tender was suspended on Thursday. The opposition says senior government ANO deputy chairman Jaroslav Faltynek did not explain his role in the case of a suspected influencing of the toll tender. The MPs agreed to continue the debate on March 27. The opposition Civic Democrats (ODS), Pirates and TOP 09 demanded the toll case to be debated today.
