The Czech Environment Ministry has approved a further 4.8 billion crowns for 400 projects from the Environment Operational Programme, ministry spokeswoman Petra Roubickova told CTK. The highest sum, more than two billion crowns, will be divided among dozens of municipalities and water management companies to improve the distribution and quality of drinking water as well as the construction or revitalisation of pools, wetlands and ponds and the creation of polders, which belong to the Environment Ministry's key measures in the fight against droughts, Roubickova said.
