Jarmila Vedralova, recently appointed head of the Czech government's anti-drug policy section, has announced that her section's most important task was to elaborate a new anti-drug strategy for the period between now and 2027. "I already have some ideas, but I would like to consult the expert circles and bodies at first," Vedralova said. She said a balance between prevention and reprisals as well as a drug policy based on evidence and good practice abroad was her approach. "We suffer from a shortage of time and this is not good for the preparation of such an important document," Vedralova said.
