Czech education minister dismisses director of educational institution

May 29th, 2018

Czech Education Minister Robert Plaga (ANO) has dismissed Jiri Zika, the director of Cermat, the centre for the preparation of leaving examinations for secondary schools, due to errors in the 2018 leaving exams from the Czech language and in the entrance exams, Plaga told reporters on Tuesday. At a meeting with Zika, Plaga said he had asked him to explain the faults in the tests. Zika will end his tenure by May 31 and analyst Michaela Klenhova will replace him as of June 1.
