Hundreds of Czech Communists (KSCM) on Tuesday celebrated May Day at a rally in Prague at which they presented their candidates for the elections to the Prague Assembly and the Senate scheduled for this autumn. There were verbal exchanges between the Communists and roughly 30 opponents of communism who waved the flags of the US, Ukraine and NATO. Communist hardliner Marta Semelova called on the police to disperse the Communist opponents. The Communist candidates said housing shortage was the main problem Prague faced.
