Cultural figures call upon premier to dismiss culture minister

A number of figures active in culture, including theatre heads, are calling upon Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini to dismiss Culture Minister Lubica Lassakova over what they perceive as her incompetence, lack of familiarity with the field and wantonness displayed in ousting Slovak National Theatre (SND) general director Marian Chudovsky, one of the signatories Juraj Stern said on Friday. In response, the Government Office press department told TASR that Culture Minister Lassakova enjoys the confidence of Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD), who sees no reason for her dismissal.
TASR
