The Council of Europe's Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (Moneyval) said in a recent report that Hungary has made progress since 2017 in strengthening structures against money laundering and terrorist financing. The body also re-rated the country from "partially compliant" to "largely compliant" on two of CoE's recommendations concerning the two areas. Moneyval decided that Hungary should again submit a report on its progress in implementing measures against money laundering and terrorist financing in December 2019.
