Corporate profits in Slovakia down 13.2 pc in Q1

Non-financial and financial corporations based in Slovakia posted a cumulative profit of 2.483 billion euros in the first quarter of 2018, down by 13.2 percent year-on-year, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. Non-financial corporations' profits were down by 116.6 million euros (5 percent) to 2.238 billion euros in the first quarter of the year. The largest share of profits in the non-financial sector was created by industrial manufacturing (820.5 million euros).
