A construction permit for a gas pipeline linking Polish and Lithuanian gas systems (GIPL) is expected to be issued in May, Polish government commissioner for strategic energy infrastructure, Piotr Naimski, said on Wednesday. GIPL is an interconnector that will integrate the European gas transfer system, thus increasing the diversification of gas supplies. Location decisions have already been issued for most sections of the pipeline, Piotr Naimski said in response to MPs' questions related to the gas facility.
