Civilians to protest against 'critical situation' of Slovak academy

The Science Wants to Live! Initiative will stage a protest rally at the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) in Bratislava on Friday, TASR learnt from the initiative's spokespersons. According to the initiative, SAV has found itself in a critical situation over the past couple of weeks due to the education ministry's idleness in enrolling SAV organisations in the public research institutions register. "This is paralysing SAV institutes and seriously threatening our future," said the initiative's members.
