Christian Democrats to have congress next March

Czech Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) have called their regular congress for Brno on March 29-30, 2019, the party's national conference, its top body between the congresses, today. The congress will be connected with the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the party. The congress will decide on senior party posts. After the losses suffered in the October 2017 election to the Chamber of Deputies, in which the party lost four mandates, the speculations appeared that party leader Pavel Belobradek will not defend his post.
