Charles University unveils plaque commemorating Palach's deed
January 16th, 2019
A plaque commemorating the late student Jan Palach, who immolated himself in protest against the Soviet-led occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1969, was unveiled in Prague's Charles University (UK) Karolinum building yard where the coffin with his remains stood 50 years ago.
